UpRising leadership programme in Birmingham – looking for you

Do you know of any young person living in Birmingham aged 19-25 who has the potential to be a future leader?
UpRising is a great opportunity for talented young people from diverse backgrounds as it equips them with the skills, experience and confidence to become the leaders of tomorrow and enable them to create positive change in their communities.

Whilst the learning visits and learning session provide young people with the theoretical skills for leadership, the social action campaigns allow them to practically contribute to social change on an issue they are passionate within and around their local community.

UpRisers are provided with numerous opportunities to build networks and enhance their skills. Future UpRisers will be able to participate in some thrilling events as participants. One fantastic opportunity for Birmingham participants will be to attend a fundraising gala dinner at the House of Lords where the Leader of the Opposition, The Right Honourable Ed Miliband will be present alongside other high profile supporters of UpRising. Participants on the UpRising programme will also get a chance to meet the Prime Minister and other senior politicians in the weeks and months to come.
