YES or NO to an Elected Mayor.
Birmingham decides May 3rd 2012.
Join the debate.
Make sure your voice is heard
On May 3rd 2012 Birmingham (alongside 11 other cities, including Coventry) will be invited to vote in a mayoral referendum. If the vote is yes, an Elected City Mayor will be elected in Birmingham in November 2012.
As a UK citizen (over 18) you have a right to vote. All votes are equal. This is your chance to have a say in who represents you and makes the important decisions which affect your area.
Under 18? Your opinions still matter- get involved and let those who can vote know what you think and help them make the right choice for Birmingham.
A referendum invites citizens to vote a clear yes or no to a single question. This sends a clear message to the government about what people in Birmingham want.
Have some ideas about what issues need addressing in Birmingham?
