Why Is it there? We Don’t what that! We are the youth of this area, yet we aren’t allowed to visit it! Surely the youth should be alllowed to access these facilties, but we havent and now its become an eyesore!
These are some of the comments made by local youth in the area of bordesley green in east Birmingham regarding a skate park / youth pod which was developed with thousands of pounds using the councils budget for the local area when no local young people are allowed to visit it and therefore they have trashed it in rebellion, because in there words they consider it “dumped” on them.
A local initiative known as CIC (community interest company) whose Youth Division, Evo Youth Bordesley Green are working to change this and want the young people of the area to come forward and get involved in securing what they want. They have a lot of projects planned starting off with a new youth club at “the pod”. So if your’re from Bordesley Green and want to help in making this change visit the Evo youth website :
